Merger with Credit Union 1 Recommended

ICCU’s Board of Directors has recommended that ICCU merge with Credit Union 1 effective January 1, 2025. A special meeting will be held on October 17.

DeKalb Manager Kim wins ILCUL Award

Kim, the manager of our DeKalb branch, has been awarded the Spirit of Service Employee of the Year award by the Illinois Credit Union League. This award recognizes a credit union employee who consistently goes above and beyond to serve members and exemplifies the credit union philosophy.

Introducing the Ava Answers financial education videos

ICCU’s A.I. personality Ava Answers has launched a series of brief, educational videos that answer common questions that kids and teens have about banking and money. It is hoped that educators and guardians will leverage the videos to start discussions around important financial topics.

Termination of Excess Share Insurance

Upon completion of the merger with Credit Union 1 at the end of this year, the excess deposit insurance for deposits above $250,000 will no longer be available. However, it may be possible to restructure your accounts.
